UNC stands for "Universal Naming Convention" or "Uniform Naming Convention". Using the UNC allows you to identify each shared resource with a unique name. With Double Image, UNC naming can refer to files on Local Area Network (LAN) or Wide Area Network (WAN) drives, folders, or files.
When you browse for a source or target folder and choose from "Network" the result is a UNC path, even if the path is on your local machine.
